Feature act: CATCH 23

CATCH 23 have cultivated their signature sound by creating a modern take on blues rock, influenced by a wide variety of blues, rock and boogie. Catch 23 put on a dynamite show, ranging from sultry blues ballads to raunchy rockers! Since forming in 2018, the band has been busy performing all over Melbourne and Victoria, playing feature spots at Melbourne’s blues clubs, honing their sound and building an audience.

Brendan Alexander (vocals, guitar, harp) anchors Catch 23’s live shows with charisma and humour, connecting the band’s music with their audience. As versatile musicians across several genres, and newfound writing partners, Ron E. Smith (vocals, bass) and Andrew Baker (lead guitar) began collaborating in 2019 and discovered an easy working chemistry, co-writing the band’s debut album “Blues Hotel”. Andy Miller (drums) keeps everyone grounded with that steady beat.
