House of Blues - Jam Night

PETE CORNELIUS has been a working musician since his early teens. He continues to expand his repertoire and impress his audience with his toneful guitar and soulful vocals. His style is difficult to describe but is steeped in heartfelt blues, greasy funk and soul with Americana overtones. His authentic sound and original songwriting is unique to Pete and his skill is recognised internationally. He is one of the most experienced young bluesmen in the country, with more live shows and festival appearances, album releases and awards under his belt than performers twice his age. 

 

Pete often takes the opportunity to play guitar, bass or drums with the many blues and roots artists who visit his home base – The Apple Isle. Guest spots include working with Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Chris Cain, Hans Theessink and JW Jones (USA) Joanne Shaw Taylor (UK), Ray Beadle, Shannon Bourne, Mojo Webb, Geoff Achison and many more. He has opened for international artists Joe Bonamassa, Status Quo, Tinsley Ellis, Micheal Hills Blues Mob, Honeyboy Edwards and Eric Bibb (USA) amongst others. It’s great to have Pete back in Melbourne and performing a rare solo show at MBAS – don’t miss him!
