THE McNAMARR PROJECT – The powerhouse duo that is John McNamara and Andrea Marr, joined forces in 2018 after solo careers spanning many years, many albums and many awards. US publicist Frank Roszak heard something special when he promoted John’s 2017 ‘Rollin with It’ and Andrea’s 2017 ‘Natural’. He suggested these two artists become a duo and the rest is a Blues match made in heaven.

In July 2018, just two months after their first gig, they won the MBAS Blues Performer of the Year Award and went off to Memphis in January 2019 to represent the MBAS and Australian blues at the International Blues Challenge, where they made it through to the semi finals. They were signed to Memphis label Selectohits and released ‘Holla and Moan’ in 2019. Internationally acclaimed as the authentic sound of Stax from down under, the album won 2019 MBAS Vic/Tas Blues Awards Album of the Year and Song of the Year, debuted at #2 on the Australian Blues Charts and #1 on International Roots Music Report Australian album charts.

Successive lockdowns saw The McNaMarr Project creating album #2 ‘Run with Me’ which debuted at #1 on the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay charts, #1 on the RMR International Australian album, #1 on the US RMR Soul/Blues singles charts and #12 on the UK Blues Music charts.
