ANNA SCIONTI – ‘Urban Blues and Eclectic Steel Slide’ is how this Melbourne-based singer-songwriter and guitarist describes her unique style of driving slide guitar and whiskey soaked, seductive vocals. Playing cigar-box guitar, resonator, lap steel or six-string guitar, you will be immersed into a world of emotionally charged, electrified, rhythmic, deep, honest, dirty blues. Anna's uninhibited foot-stomping sound is honest and raw .
In November 2017, Anna's self-titled EP of five self-penned songs, debuted at No.2 on the Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts. Her experience encompasses playing in bands, as a solo artist and as a duo having represented Australia in Memphis, Tennessee at the 2016 International Blues Challenge as the vocalist and guitarist for 'Miss Whiskey', as well as playing at blues festivals in Victoria and interstate. Anna is a popular feature act on The Blues Train (Queenscliff), The Blues Tram (Bendigo) and Festivals such as Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival, White Night Melbourne, Australian Blues Music Festival (NSW), Docklands Blues Music Festival, Yackandanda Cigar-Box Guitar Festival, Thredbo Blues Festival (NSW) and Bruthen Blues and Arts Festival, just to name a few... this blues woman is one to catch live!
