NICK CHARLES is widely considered a Nationally and Internationally acclaimed finger-picking guitar master.

With a career spanning 4 decades, 16 albums, 13 US tours (performing more than 300 shows there) and every conceivable Australian acoustic and blues award multiple times, it is no surprise that The Age has labelled Nick Charles as “Australia’s virtuoso of acoustic roots and blues.”

You will hear dazzling fingerpicking on 6 and 12 string guitars and a lifetime’s stories and songs from the world’s musical highways. Nick has toured with artists ranging from John Hammond to Robyn Ford, Ralph McTell, and Guy Clarke and along the way also won the Australian song contest twice, been Port Fairy Folk Festival Artist of the Year and is a recipient of the Age Blues Album of the Year. Nick’s musical heroes and inspirations heavily include Big Bill, Mississippi John, Robert Johnson as well as iconic country pickers Travis and Watson. In the words of Bruce Elder from the Sydney Morning Herald “He plays guitar like an angel.”
