Feature act: VP & THE JUMPER LEADS 

VP & THE JUMPER LEADS is fronted by vocalist and blues harp dynamo VIC POLYIK, who leads the band with a rich tone and his distinct, Fat-tone and West-coast-influenced harmonica technique.

VP and The Jumper Leads, modern artists of electric swing blues, showcase their remarkable skill by tapping into a diverse range of blues inspirations to authentically embody American West Coast blues and classic rock and roll.

Vic mastered his harmonica playing technique while residing in Canada for fifteen years, learning directly from harp heavyweights like Mitch Kashmar and Mark Dufresne. He is a modern blues harmonica player who honours the past but isn’t stuck there. The time in Canada saw Vic play and record with some of blues finest, including Shuggie Otis, Jack Lavin (Powder Blues), Guitar Shorty, Amos Garrett and Jeff Simmons of Frank Zappa’s Mothers. Since returning to Australia in 2005, Vic has worked with Australian music icon Don Walker, Louis King and The Liars Klub, and many more prominent Australian blues performers.

The ‘Jumper Leads’ band lineup is complete with the collective talents of top musicians PETE MAVRIC on bass, BRYAN KARAHASAN on guitar and CRAIG HADLOW on drums – guaranteeing a great night of high energy, rockin' electric swing Blues – not to be missed, and a popular returning act the the MBAS House of Blues.
