VP & THE JUMPER LEADS are modern electric swing blues practitioners who pull from a trove of blues influences to capture the spirit of American Westcoast blues and vintage rock 'n' roll. 

Vic Polyik fronts the band with enormous tone and his personal, tradition-based harmonica style. While residing in Canada, Vic mastered his technique by learning directly from harp heavyweights like Mitch Kashmar and Mark Dufresne. As a result, he is a modern blues harmonica player who honours the past but isn’t stuck there. Fifteen years in Canada saw Vic play and record with some of blues finest, including; Shuggie Otis, Jack Lavin (Powder Blues), Guitar Shorty, Amos Garrett and Jeff Simmons of Frank Zappa’s Mothers. Since returning to Australia in 2005, Vic’s worked with Australian music icon Don Walker, Louis King and many prominent Australian blues performers. Vic is joined by top local bandmates Bryan Karahasan on guitar and Craig Hadlow on drums.
