House of Blues - Jam Night

Tim StoutTuesday 15th August 2023

Feature act: TIM STOUT (SOLO)

TIM STOUT is the singing drummer who started his musical journey in a church band at age 9. From there to the Devil’s music in a rock band called Destiny, doing his first gig as a support for Wendy and the Rockets. His first foray into blues was at 18 in King B with founding members of the Swinging Sidewalks, John Betros, Peter Cam and Justin Brady on harp. Then the vocals came in, playing for Neon Leon and the Speed Kings.

Tim left the drums for a time singing upfront of Grand Wazoo then playing guitar and singing for King Cactus. With a listening history deeply rooted in the blues and soul of black American music, a journey back into the blues was inevitable, and  the band The Hoodoo Men was born. The release ‘Found the Blues’, an album of original blues songs written by Tim, spent 9 months on the ABARAC charts. Then Covid19 lockdowns arrived, but not taking a pandemic lying down, Tim embarked on the epic journey of 6@6, creating an online family, playing 6 songs live every night on Facebook for 220 plus nights! Now Tim continues his music journey both with The Hoodoo Men, and as a solo artist.
