Feature act: KALIOPI & THE BLUES MESSENGERS

KALIOPI & THE BLUES MESSENGERS draw on the rich Delta Blues tradition of powerful blueswomen with Chicago guitar pioneer influences. Frontwoman vocalist and guitarist KALIOPI STAVROPOULOS performs as a full 5-piece band with GREG ROWAN on drums, PAUL LEEDER on bass, BRENDON PRICE on Hammond/piano, and WAYNE ALBURY on clarinet/tenor sax.

Kaliopi & The Blues Messengers’ 2023 album debut ‘Blues For Minnie’ received validating reviews and reached the National ABARAC Blues & Roots airplay charts. At the 2024 VICTAS Blues Music Awards, the band was awarded 'Emerging Artist' for their second album, ‘The Devil's Voodoo Curse’ and were finalists in the 2024 MBAS Annual Blues Challenge. The group are preparing a live audio-visual concert release and their follow-up new studio album later this year.
