Feature act: DAMON SMITH 

DAMON SMITH is a high-energy, award-winning performer whose electrifying New Orleans-style piano playing and dynamic stage presence have captivated audiences across Australia. A prolific writer, Damon has released seven acclaimed records over the last seven years, blending piano mastery, heartfelt storytelling, and a transparent, comedic edge that redefines modern blues and roots. 

His 2023 album, A Fresh Harvest From Old Seeds, earned a Music Victoria Award, triumphing over international acts like the Tesky Brothers. Skeletons Skeletons Skeletons, released prior, debuted at #2 on the Australian Blues and Roots charts, won the MBAS Chris Wilson Award, and received a Music Victoria Award nomination. In 2024, Damon’s recording collaboration with boogie woogie pianist Ezra Lee, earned the MBAS VICTAS award for DUO OF THE YEAR, further cementing his reputation as a trailblazer in the genre. 

Damon’s music has been featured on SBS and ABC, and he has performed at some of Australia’s most prestigious events, including the Port Fairy Folk Festival, Nannup Festival, Coolangatta Rocks, Blues on Broadbeach, and several Regional Arts Victoria tours. Known for his virtuosic piano skills, quick wit, and fearless authenticity, Damon continues to captivate audiences and push the boundaries of blues and roots music.
