Feature act: SWEET FELICIA TRIO (QLD)

SWEET FELICIA is one of Australia’s most driven and respected Blues artists, with a career spanning 45 years and a mighty stack of album credits and tours across the world to her credit. The multi-award-winning bassist, vocalist, and songwriter has been leading her band ‘The Honeytones’ at major festivals and venues since 1999. She has been an integral member of several iconic Aussie blues acts including The Delta Rhythm Kings and the Chris Wilson Band, and been the ‘go to’ bass player for international artists such as Bill Kirchen and Ben Waters on their Australian tours.

Her powerhouse grooves, contagious passion for enjoying every note, and warm, natural stage presence have taken her to the USA, UK, and across Europe and she’s opened for the likes of BB King and Ron Wood. In 2010, Felicia was named Melbourne Blues Artist of the Year and represented the city at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, USA where she was a semi-finalist. Sweet Felicia was nominated for entry into the Blues Music Victoria Hall of Fame, and is a 3-time BASEQ Blues award winner. Residing in QLD for most of the past decade, it’s always a pleasure to have one of our favourite music personalities back in Melbourne and on stage at the MBAS House of Blues!
