Feature act: BILL BARBER & THE HOLDING CELL

BILL BARBER & THE HOLDING CELL is the latest band project of Bill Barber, a musician at the forefront of a new generation of Australian Blues. Bill hails from the goldfields of country Victoria, and has so far has carved out a successful career featuring 3 albums and festival appearances across the country. Bill proved himself as a promising new talent when he won the MBAS Blues Challenge Solo/Duo comp in 2017 to go on to represent the MBAS at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, USA in 2018. In band formation, Bill is also a member of blues rock bands The Electric Blues Collective and The Revelators. Personal changes, setbacks and chance connections have now made way for a new project - The Holding Cell.

Alongside Shaun Klinger on guitar, Jaspar Austin Gray on bass and Backbeat Brown on drums, The Holding Cell explores the Blues in a way that uniquely reflects all members' eclectic experience as musicians to create a sound that is emotional and powerful, with songs that reflect a raw, creative and at times brutally honest approach to Blues music.

9:00pm - 11:00pm: Blues Jam Session
