Feature act: CAM WALTER BLUES BAND

CAM WALTER BLUES BAND magnifcently hit their stride in Memphis USA in January this year, representing MBAS and making the Final at the 2026 International Blues Challenge (IBC), where they finished Top 5 in the band category, worldwide. Featuring CAM WALTER on guitar/vocals, GRANT CUMMERFORD on bass and TIM BURNHAM on drums, the trio perform a tight set with developed stage camaraderie and a musical telepathy, which comes from countless gigs together. From classic and original blues, boogie and old school rock ’n’ roll, the influences roll on from John Lee Hooker, Bluesbreakers era Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix. Stylistically, Cam Walter Blues perform driving grooves in the tradition of the greats of Australia’s rich blues/rock heritage. Don’t miss these champions as they perform their first MBAS show back after celebrated achievements at the IBC. Our humble stage may be no match for Memphis’ historic 2,500 seat Orpheum Theatre setting, but guaranteed, the boys will blow the roof off at the MBAS House of Blues!
