THE LEIGH SLOGGETT TRIO play original blues music, contemporary and inspired yet strongly connected to its roots. Their deep grooves and exciting contrasts are based around Leigh's distinctive husk-tinged vocals and compelling musicianship on open tuned and lap-slide guitar. Adding depth and vitality to the music are Chris Riseley on double bass and Matt Crump on drums.

After enjoying performing together in duo formats in 2019, it was a natural progression to come together as a trio and immediately obvious to be a perfect match to Leigh's playing style.

A diverse range of influences have contributed to their sound from early American blues masters such as Robert Johnson and Memphis Minnie through to more contemporary acts like Ry Cooder and Dave Alvin.

Leigh has three albums to his name and is currently recording his fourth. He has toured internationally and has performed consistently over the past decade building a reputation as a unique song writing and guitarist. Leigh's third album 'More Than I Need' in 2012 went on to reach number 8 on the Australian Blues and Roots charts with radio airplay around Australia as well as on many stations across America. Leigh's festival appearances continue to grow with The Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival, Bendigo Blues and Roots Music Festival and Mordialloc Food, Wine and Music Festival included on the list.
