ANNA SCIONTI is a singer-songwriter, guitarist and bottleneck slide player who mixes it up on cigar box guitar, resonator, lap steel and 6-string guitar. The music Anna makes is her own style, steeped in blues, roots and rock. While absorbing influences from her favourite inspirational artists, Anna walks her own creative path. Driving guitars and honey-soaked, gravel-infused vocals draw you deep in to her world of emotionally charged, electrified rhythmic tunes.

Having lost both her parents as a teenager, Anna turned to music as an outlet. Her original songs tell stories of love, loss and longing, and are uninhibited, raw and unapologetic in their honesty. They are songs from the heart. Her latest album 'Orphan Diary' marks the follow-up to her 2017 self-titled EP which debuted at No. 2 on the Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts. 'Orphan Diary' followed in May 2019 and debuted at No. 4 on the Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts, spending seven months in the top 20. The album was also nominated for Best Blues Album at the 2019 Music Victoria Awards.

Sharing the stage with some of Australia's finest blues players, Anna is a regular on The Blues Train and in demand at festivals including Thredbo Blues Festival (NSW), Echuca Winter Blues Festival (VIC), Great Southern Cigar Box Guitar Festival (VIC), Gympie Muster (QLD), Bendigo Blues & Roots Festival (VIC), Marysville Jazz & Blues Festival (VIC) and Wangaratta Festival of Jazz & Blues (VIC).

"Bounding between cigar box guitars, lap steels and stomps, Anna Scionti is definitely a unique and destructively captivating player. Her energy is patently poignant, every blunt, soul-thumping strum as powerful as can be. To that end, she is a phenomenal vocalist with lyrics that hit hard and heavy and one worth making a special mark in your schedule for." Matt Doria – Australian Guitar Magazine (July 2019)
